first few words...

I told myself (and others defintely) that I would never submit myself to the world of blogging. Well.. Im here and enough said. Hold your questions please.. in time, you will understand how i came to end up here.

Unfournately, I am going to bid DC farewell in two months *less than that though* and am going back to my roots. FLORIDA. No matter where I find myself, theres a pang deep inside that lets me know I'm still a Floridian and that, I cant deny..

I love the state, not the people. Because of this.. I am going to burrow under the scrub and climb up live oaks in order to gain perspective. There is more to Florida than people think and see. You could say its quite a shy state with a colorful shell. Holding a hermit crab, you admire its painted shell and decide adamantly that this is what makes the crab. Just as you set it down and turn your back, a exquistive little creature, beautifully created by life, creeps out silently. Only those who sit down quietly and study it will get the chance to see the quiet beauty.

Say Orlando and i get all disgusted. It is overrated. Enough said. You wont really see Florida if you limit yourself to Orlando and I mean it.. heck, i live an hour away from Disney World galore and you should just trust me on this... i still love mickey and minnie, though

Nature is not a place to visit, it is home.... .gary snyder.

There are so much natural places and wonders to see out there.. I hate to admit this but I dont know how long I really will stay in Florida so I am going to grab this opportunity to make Florida shine.. I will be posting up places (yes yes pictures) i visited and my ruminations and a little bit of history from each place. I wont really start blogging until i am in the right location (and um yes thats floridaflorida)

bye for now but not for long...

PS.. the picture above is from Washington Oaks State Park
